Hello, Let us introduce our Clan to you all. We are a family of 5, Debra (Alpha Bitch and Mom), Jeffrey (Alpha Male and Dad), Jordan (eldest son), Raven (second born), and Tarin (our youngest son).
We first obtained a Norwich from a close friend while Jeff was stationed on a submarine in Pearl Harbor HI. Our little black and tan was quite a rascal and she started us on our path of dedication to the Norwich breed. Lil Miss Prissy, was a great companion for our son and for me on those very long deployments when it was just me and the kids.
When Jeff was transferred to Bangor WA we meet the Rourke's and they were kind enough to take us under their wings and get us started on our current path by breeding our Missy to their "Hoagie". After delivering my first Norwich litter I knew our family was hooked for life!
Along the way we have had many friends who were helpful and supportive in many different ways and so a huge hug and thanks goes out to all of them! This is not an undertaking you can do all on your own. For us it is a family commitment.
We schedule to breeding our girls around what is happening in our family lives so they will get the best care and socialization! Since we have everyone in our family showing our dogs recent events has put it on the back burner. We keep all of our dogs in the house and they all run together (unless someone is in season).
Below I have included a Mission Statement that we try to live by. Many people have influenced how we developed our values as you will read. We also try to use very holistic methods to maintain healthy dogs. PS we use it on ourselves as well! Thanks for taking the time to meet us. Hope to hear from you soon!

DeBe's Norwich Terriers
DeBe's Norwich Terrier Mission Statment
1. We will make all efforts to assist the novice and educate the public regarding the Standards of the breed and, whenever possible, provide information beneficial to their general well-being, including grooming and training.
2. We will not give false or misleading advertising or other misrepresentation of the Norwich. Everything we claim will be from our own personal experiences.
3. We will conduct ourselves in an exemplary, sportsmanlike manner at all times.
4. all breeding will be for the primary purpose of improving the breed. This will include that we will regularly test for hereditary type diseases so we will not continue them in our lines.
5. Breeding of a bitch shall only be done when we are able to keep all offspring until proper homes are investigated and found. When permitting the use of our stud dogs, we request a copy of the AKC registration certificate of the bitch and ascertain what plans the owner of the bitch has with regard to proper placement of the resultant puppies. We will also require routine testing of the bitch to be sure she is in good health.
6. If evidence supports repeated incidence of offspring produced by a bitch or sired by a dog with serious inherited defects detrimental to the animals' well being, such as blindness, epilepsy, deafness, lameness or impairment of vital functions, we will refrain from further use of the dog or bitch for breeding.
7. Only dogs of characteristic type, sound structure and steady temperament will be offer at stud. Same for the bitch. We will ask that the intended bitch have a brucellosis test , a hip and stifle exam (preferably oFA certification) and be free of internal parasites.
8. A bitch shall not be bred more often than two out of three heat seasons, and then only if she only if she is in robust health. It is assumed and advisable that a bitch not be bred after six years of age or back to back after a c-section, if at all only under supervision of a qualified Vet..
9. The AKC requires that a puppy dog (male) should not be used at stud until after he is at least seven months of age. We will not use a dog at stud until he has reached one year of age. And all preliminary testing is done.
10. Puppies will be sufficiently mature before they are released to a new owner, with an ideal age being 12 to 14 weeks. We will provide a list of dated inoculations, a four-generation pedigree, and an AKC registration application or a signed Certificate of registration, when it is received from AKC. You will also receive a signed contract.
11. The stud service fees, as well as prices of puppies or adults, shall be based on individual quality and the dictates of the individuals involved.
12. all puppies and adults will be maintained and sold in a clean, healthy condition and have been socialized.
13. We will not sell a puppy or adult to any actual pet dealer, pet shop, catalog house or any other commercial source of distribution OR A questionable person.
14. We shall, to the best of our ability, assume responsibility for the continuing welfare for the puppies we breed. We have written agreements whereby we will accept the return of any dog we have sold or placed regardless of circumstances or age.
Thank you for your time and effort to read our goals.
